My favorite quote from LOTR is Bilbo's "I want to see the mountains again Gandalf!" That's what I tell my husband when I get a case of wanderlust.

I get so choked up when I think about the "end scene" -- of the movie (it's not at the end in the books, I believe). And I feel so badly for Bilbo whenever he gets nostalgic about his past life, it tears me apart.

Of course, the immature side of me sees that quote and thinks "Gandalf wasn't a woman..."

Me, I love hills/mountains, wind, and water. That must be why I'm in love with Portland, Oregon.

Yep, it's the mountains of Washington state that we fell in love with. Even tried to walk up Mt. Ranier at my uncles suggestion. Tried to get 1 mile up to the snow. missed it by a 1/4 mile. way to out of shape!! :-) It was all so beautiful though. sigh...
